Job summary

Arcwood Environmental is seeking a Material Technician to support waste processing in the warehouse and to assist on-site with waste management programs. The role emphasizes safety and teamwork in a fast-paced environment.

You will assist with material handling, operate forklifts, weigh and move containers, and help with chemical segregation under the guidance of Field Chemists. Strong communication with customers and project managers is essential.

Qualifications

• High-school diploma or equivalent is required.
• 1+ years of related experience is required.

Responsibilities

• Prioritizes health and safety by adhering to policies and maintaining safe practices.
• Assists with waste processing in the warehouse (weighing, scanning, moving containers with forklift).
• Assists customer onsite with waste management programs and waste area inspections.
• Assists Field Chemists in segregating chemicals by hazardous class.
• Operates a fork truck and skid-steer with attachments.
• Develops good client relationships through effective communication with customers.
• Communicates needs to the project manager.
