Job summary

Arcwood Environmental, LLC in Michigan is seeking a Technical Services Technician to assist with waste processing in the warehouse and support on-site waste management programs for our diverse client base. The role emphasizes safety, proper handling of hazardous materials, and effective communication with customers and project managers.

A high school diploma and at least 1 year of related experience are required, with forklift and skid-steer operation skills a plus.

• Uses knowledge of storing and processing procedures based on SOPs and company protocols.
• Develops good client relationships by communicating with customers.
• Communicates with project manager regarding customer needs.
• Performs basic spill cleanup and housekeeping duties.
• Operates a forklift and skid-steer with attachments.

Essential Functions & Responsibilities

As a Technical Services Technician you will be responsible for assisting with waste processing within the warehouse and assisting customer onsite with waste management programs.

Essential Functions & Requirements:

• Prioritizes health and safety by adhering to policies, processes, and consistently maintaining safe practices
• Assists with waste processing in the warehouse (including weighing, scanning, and moving containers both manually and with a forklift)
• Assists customer onsite with waste management program such as waste collection, bulking, and waste area inspections
• Assists Field Chemists in the segregation of chemicals by hazardous class
• Utilizes thorough knowledge of storing and processing procedures based on Customer's SOPs and Company protocols
• Develops good client relationships by effectively communicating with customers
• Communicates effectively with project manager regarding customer's needs
• Performs basic spill cleanup and housekeeping duties
• Operates a fork truck and skid-steer with attachments

Takes on additional duties as assigned to support the team and organization
