Veolia in North America is seeking a Waste Processing Team Lead to support an Environmental Technicians team at our Providence facility. Under guidance of the Waste Processing Supervisor, you will oversee routine manual and heavy labor tasks and ensure hazardous waste is consolidated, treated and disposed of safely and in compliance with regulations and company policies.
You will train Technicians, ensure accurate recordkeeping, and coordinate with management on facility needs.

Under the guidance of the Waste Processing Supervisor, the Waste Processing Team Lead helps oversee a team of Environmental Technicians that perform routine and frequent manual and heavy labor tasks to properly consolidate, treat, store, pack, transport and/or dispose of hazardous waste in accordance with environmentally responsible and cost-effective practices and Clean Earth policies, practices and procedures. The Waste Processing Team Lead will maintain records with accuracy and attention to detail and will need to be able to follow instruction and to work independently. The Waste Processing Team Lead will help to train the Environmental Technicians to ensure they work compliantly and safely. This is not a supervisory role and does not have direct reports.
High school diploma or GED.
Associate’s degree in Chemistry or Environmental Science-related field (preferred).
May be required to pass a DEA background check based on site
Forklift certified with possession of safe driving record (preferred)
Knowledge of RCRA, DOT, EPA, and state waste regulations
Ability to operate manual equipment such as a pallet jack to load and unload trucks
Ability to use a computer for web-based training and inventory tracking purposes
Ability to understand and respond to written and verbal English
Ability to deal politely with customers and team members
Ability to oversee large projects and lead a team
