Job summary

WM is seeking a Plant Associate to ensure waste is unloaded from vehicles, decontaminated, and properly staged for scanning and processing. The role focuses on safe, productive operation across the Biotrack system and automated wash processes.

Responsibilities include loading waste for processing, maintaining tub wash operations, and ensuring vehicle readiness. Candidates should meet basic experience and safety expectations, with a preference for drivers’ licenses and safety familiarity.

Qualifications

• 1 year of experience, preferably in plant environment.
• Ability to communicate effectively and understand and follow health and safety directives and performance and conduct standards, policies and procedures that apply to the role and location.
• Preferred qualifications include a Valid Driver's Licence.

Responsibilities

• Unload waste from incoming vehicles and separate non-autoclavable waste for incineration.
• Stage waste on conveyor system or for scanning in the Biotrack system.
• Scan waste into the Biotrack system for recordkeeping.
• Load autoclave bins or incinerator hopper with waste for processing.
• Place reusable containers on tub wash line for decontamination.
• Operate tub wash unit and inspect tubs for loading onto vehicles for reuse.
• Operate tub wash sprayer for oversized tubs and ensure proper loading.
• Decontaminate vehicle cargo areas and ensure no free liquid; notify supervisor when ready.
• Maintain housekeeping: spills cleaned, floors dry, debris cleared.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
