Job summary

Reworld Waste in Gary, Indiana is hiring a Waste Process Technician I to safely handle waste processing tasks, off-load inbound loads, and perform QA/QC at a facility committed to safety and environmental responsibility.

The role requires basic mechanical understanding of processing equipment and the ability to operate forklifts, cranes, and other power tools. High school diploma preferred; GED program available; 1+ year experience and respirator fit test are expected.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent, preferred.
• GED Works program offered to achieve GED.
• 1+ year of experience.
• Pass respirator fit test.

Responsibilities

• Understand basic facility permit requirements and safety/compliance duties.
• Operate equipment including pressure washers, power tools, hand trucks, forklifts per policies and OSHA rules.
• Safely operate mobile equipment within facility boundaries.
• Off-load inbound packages, liquid trucks, and containers.
• Process inbound material using facility and mobile equipment.
• QA/QC and lab analysis of waste receiving and shipping.
• Submit facility paperwork with receiving data and manifests.
• General cleaning of facility and grounds.
