Job summary

Reworld in Bristol, CT is hiring a Utility Operator to perform a variety of safe, fast-paced industrial tasks in our disposal facility. You will manage refuse, operate loaders, monitor equipment, and ensure emptying and charging of systems to keep the plant running smoothly.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent, preferred.
• Must be able to work a rotating shift schedule.

Responsibilities

• Ensure equipment is appropriately charged and fuel levels in boiler hoppers maintained.
• Mix and level refuse in the industrial pit.
• Load ash using various types of industrial equipment.
• Supervise and observe delivery trucks hauling materials to tipping floor.
• Safely operate front end loaders to manage refuse and materials delivered to tipping floor for processing.
• Inspect delivered refuse, waste, and materials, and determine appropriate disposal process.
• Monitor and control inbound/outbound traffic for delivery trucks.
• Additional duties to ensure safe and efficient facility operations.
