WIN Waste Innovations is seeking a Heavy Equipment Operator to safely operate at a recycling facility, landfill or transfer station for transferring, spreading, covering, loading and compacting waste or soil. The role emphasizes safety, inspections and reliable equipment operation.

Qualifications

• Two years prior related experience in heavy equipment operation.
• Good time management skills to ensure assigned responsibilities are completed in an efficient and safe manner.
• Good follow through ability; ability to adhere to work schedule and follows through on challenges as they arise.
• Promotes the Company's safety standards; does not take inappropriate risks.

Responsibilities

• Perform pre- and post-operation inspections of equipment to ensure safety and cleanliness.
• Safely and efficiently operate equipment such as forklift, excavator, bulldozer, front-end loader and other equipment.
• Continuously monitor waste for evidence of unacceptable materials in the stream.
• Perform minor service on equipment and refer more complex issues for repairs.
• Complete Equipment Condition Reports and report necessary repairs to supervisor.
• Follow all required safety policies and procedures and keep the shop clean and organized.
• Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
• Maintain positive interactions with customers, vendors, co-workers and management.
