Job summary

Climate Solutions in Seattle seeks a Washington Legislative Director to lead the state’s legislative strategy and advocacy. The role reports to the Washington State Director and involves building partnerships across policymakers, coalitions, and tribal nations to implement climate and clean energy policies.

You will translate policy into testimony, briefings, and materials, and shape near-, medium-, and long-term priorities while guiding a team of lobbyists and staff.

Responsibilities

• Lead Washington Legislative Strategy & Advocacy to pass and defend climate policies.
• Build legislative influence and partnerships across policymakers, coalitions, and tribes.
• Translate complex policy into compelling testimony, talking points, and briefings.
• Coordinate with Washington State Director, policy directors, and contract lobbyists to set priorities.
• Travel within Washington to engage stakeholders and represent Climate Solutions.
