Job summary

Texas Disposal Systems in Creedmoor, TX is hiring a Wash/Maintenance Technician to keep company assets clean and well-maintained on site. The role focuses on washing rolling stock, equipment, and facilities while complying with safety policies.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Wear PPE as required.
• Wash company assets (rolling stock, equipment, facilities, parking areas).
• Document wash operations and track time per procedures.
• Report leaks or damage to service desk immediately.
• Comply with safety policies.
• Maintain potable wash equipment.
• Keep wash bay and office areas clean and functional.
• Operate forklifts, roll-off trucks and other equipment as required.
• Clean aluminum trailers using approved procedures.
• Empty trash receptacles daily or as required.
• Perform exterior and interior washing of assets as needed.
• Clean fuel island and parking areas daily; address spills on- and off-site as needed.
• Maintain pressure washers and trailers per OEM specs.
• Ensure cleaning supplies are stocked.
• Assist cart delivery personnel in loading/unloading of carts.
• Assemble containers as required.
• Maintain inventory of carts.
• Conduct daily and monthly inventories.
• Attend safety meetings.
• Report safety violations and unsafe acts or conditions.
• Other duties as assigned.

Job description

The position ensures that all company assets are cleaned and properly maintained.

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES

• Wear the appropriate personal protective equipment when and where required.
• Wash company owned rolling stock, equipment, facilities, parking lots, etc.
• Document all wash operations and track time in accordance with company procedures.
• Report immediately any leaks or damage to the service desk.
• Comply with company safety policies.
• Properly maintain potable wash equipment.
• Ensure the wash bay and wash bay office areas are kept clean and functional.
• Operate forklifts, roll-off trucks and other equipment as required.
• Clean aluminum trailers using the appropriate procedures.
• Empty trash receptacles in and around operations and maintenance facility daily or as required.
• Perform washing duties of exterior and interior of company assets as required.
• Clean the fuel island and parking areas daily and clean any environmental spills on- and off-site as needed.
• Maintain all departmental equipment pressure washers and trailers in accordance with OEM requirements.
• Ensure cleaning supplies are stocked.
• Assist cart delivery personnel in loading and unloading of carts
• Assemble containers as required.
• Maintain a clean, serviceable inventory of carts.
• Conduct daily and monthly inventories as required.
• Attend safety meetings.
• Report immediately any safety violations and correcting unsafe acts or conditions.
• Other duties as assigned.

REQUIRED SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS

• Knowledge of wash equipment i.e. pressure washers, pump equipment;
• Must understand operational theory and practices of assigned equipment;
• Must be forklift certified or able to be certified by the company.
• Must have excellent communication skills;
• Ability to read Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS).

PREFERRED SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS

• High school diploma or its equivalent.

REQUIRED LICENSES & CERTIFICATIONS

• Valid Class C driver's license
• Safe driving for the last three years
• Forklift certified by company.
