Job summary

Milestone Environmental Services LLC in Mentone, TX seeks a full-time Laborer to support plant operations with washing, cleaning and basic maintenance. You will dump and rinse containers, perform truck washouts, dispose of waste safely, and help keep racks, pits and slabs clean in a safety-conscious environment.

The role requires reading and following English instructions, safety training is a plus, and a high school diploma or GED. Benefits include 401(k) match and health coverage.

Qualifications

• Ability to read, write and comprehend English (operational, process, and safety instructions).
• Knowledge of safety training such as HAZMAT is a plus.
• High School Diploma, trade school, or GED.
• Must follow safety policies and wear PPE.

Responsibilities

• Dumps and rinses containers and trucks with power hoses, equipment, and approved products.
• Performs truck washouts using produced water maintaining washout racks, concrete washout pit and drying slab.
• Washes down wash rack areas and maintains clean work area.
• Empties trucks/containers and disposes of waste according to safety policies.
• Performs general laborer and cleaning in plant facility.
• Performs basic maintenance related to cleaning, moving equipment and parts from one work or storage area to another if required.
• Collaborate with other personnel and provide assistance when required

KNOWLEDGE, EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS REQUIRED TO CARRY OUT THE JOB:

• Ability to read, write and comprehend English (operational, process, and safety instructions) a must.
• Knowledge of safety training such HAZMAT class is a plus.
• High School Diploma, trade school, or general education degree (GED)
• Must understand and follow all safety policies and apply good safety practices while working.
• Must become proficient in the care and use of all site specific, facility required Personal Protection Equipment.
• Must pass a drug screen, pre-employment physical and background check.

Job Type: Full-time

Compensation: $20.00 - $23.00 per hour

WORKING EVIRONMENT/PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

• Working Environment Demands: Spends significant amount of time in operations environment and sometime in the office environment. May need to drive company vehicles in the course of job duties. Occasional travel for training and meetings. Exposed to possible operations hazards including dust, fumes, chemicals, machinery, hot or cold work temperatures, slippery surfaces, water and electrical hazards.
• While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts. The employee is frequently exposed to outside weather conditions and vibration.
• Physical Demands: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, stoop, climb, crouch, and kneel; use hands to finger, handle, or feel and reach with hands. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, ability to adjust focus, and peripheral vision.
