Job summary

APAC Mississippi, Inc. is seeking a Wash Plant Operator to operate crusher and washer equipment and perform related labor tasks. You will help maintain equipment and the surrounding plant area, while following supervisor guidance and safety protocols.

The role requires physical stamina, ability to work various shifts, and willingness to travel or work extended hours as needed. Prior experience is preferred but training is provided in a team environment.

Qualifications

• One year related experience preferred.
• High school diploma or GED required; 1–2 years related experience and/or training, or equivalent.
• Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos; write simple correspondence.
• Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure using whole numbers, fractions, and decimals.
• Knowledge of Microsoft operating systems.
• Ability to work varying shifts (days, nights, swings).

Responsibilities

• Operate equipment safely and efficiently.
• Maintain aggregate crusher, washer, and surrounding area for safe operation.
• Shovel, sweep, steam clean, paint, tire work; mechanical assistance; lift and push/pull objects.
• Communicate production issues to supervisor or lead person.
• Work in varying weather conditions; perform strenuous tasks.
• Keep time and material records.
• Know aggregate sizes and classifications.
• Travel and work away from home when required.
• Willing to work nights and weekends; report on time.
• Able to work overtime; perform other duties as assigned.
