Job summary

Small Mine Development, LLC is seeking a motivated, entry-level Wash Bay Technician for our Battle Mountain Rebuild Shop. You will clean and prep equipment, assist the maintenance team, and support safety and efficiency on site.

The role offers an hourly wage with a safety bonus, and opportunities for hands-on training and career advancement within a supportive mining environment. Schedule is TBD and benefits accompany employment.

Qualifications

• Must maintain a safety-first mindset and stay aware of surroundings.
• Able to stand for extended periods during shifts.
• Capable of caring for and maintaining all tools and equipment.
• Able to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Strong time management and organization skills.

Responsibilities

• Wash equipment using pressure washers, manual scrubbing, and cleaning agents.
• Keep wash bay area clean and organized.
• Perform basic maintenance on wash bay; report needed repairs.
• Assist maintenance team members as needed.
• Provide waste removal and disposal support.
• Recognize hazards and mitigate risks.
• Participate in risk assessments and follow SOPs.
• Conduct thorough pre-operational inspections on equipment.

Position: Wash Bay Technician Entry Level

Pay Rate: Competitive Hourly Wage (Depending on Experience) + safety bonus

Area: Battle Mountain Rebuild Shop

Duties And Responsibilities

• Washing equipment by use of pressure washers, manual scrubbing, and cleaning agents
• Maintaining a clean and organized wash bay area
• Performing basic maintenance on wash bay and reporting any needed repairs
• Providing assistance to maintenance team members
• Waste removal and disposal
• Hazard recognition and mitigation
• Participation in risk assessments and following SOPs (Standard Operating Procedures)
• Conducting thorough pre-operational inspections on equipment

Experience and Qualification Requirements

• Work with a safety-first mind set and maintain situational awareness at all times.
• Have the ability to stand on your feet for extended periods of time.
• Be able to properly care for and maintain all tools and equipment.
• Have the ability to work independently.
• Have strong time management skills.
• Possess exceptional housekeeping habits.
• Have the ability to lift a minimum of 50 lbs. and work in year-round weather conditions.

Beneficial Skills But Not Required

• Forklift operating experience
