Small Mine Development, LLC seeks an entry level underground miner for the Eureka, Nevada area. You will support safe, productive hard rock mining operations on a 7-on, 7-off schedule with 12-hour shifts, and may receive a safety and production bonus plus housing assistance.

Responsibilities include operating haulage equipment, water and mixer trucks, and assisting with support systems. Prior heavy equipment experience and a commitment to safety are essential.

Aufgaben

• Operate underground haulage equipment, such as 30-ton ADTs.
• Operate water and mixer trucks as needed underground.
• Use underground support equipment (skid steers, forklifts, manlifts).
• Handle and transport explosives per SOPs and safety rules.
• Perform dewatering tasks with sumps/pumps; assist air/water lines.
• Assist in installing/extending air, water, and discharge lines.
• Recognize hazards and participate in risk assessments.
• Follow SOPs and conduct pre-operational inspections.
• Maintain equipment and tools; ensure housekeeping.
• Support production goals while focusing on safety.

Position: Entry Level Underground Miner
Pay Rate: Competitive hourly wage (Depending on Experience), safety and production bonus, taxable daily living allowance, and housing provided.
Schedule: 7 on 7 off, 12-hour shifts. Rotating days and nights
Area: Eureka, Nevada – Archimedes Underground Mine

Duties and Responsibilities

Under the direction of the site superintendent, underground miners are responsible for performing all aspects of full cycle, hard rock mining. Our underground miners are tasked with carrying out duties that ensure safety and support to the mining advance; consisting of development mining and rehabilitation of existing access. Those responsibilities include (but are not limited to):

• Operation of underground haulage equipment – 30-ton articulated dump trucks
• Operation of water trucks
• Operation of mixer trucks
• Operation of underground support equipment, e.g., skid steers, forklifts, manlifts, and other equipment
• Handling and transporting explosives
• Dewatering – sumps/pumps operation
• Assist in installing/extending air, water, and discharge lines
• Hazard recognition and mitigation
• Participation in risk assessments and following SOPs (Standard Operating Procedures)
• Conducting thorough pre-operational inspections on equipment

Experience and Qualification Requirements

Applicants must:

• Work with a safety-first mind set and maintain situational awareness at all times.
• Possess knowledge and understanding of all underground (hard rock) mining equipment applications.
• Have experience in operating or using heavy equipment.
• Be able to properly care for and maintain all tools and equipment.
• Possess exceptional workplace housekeeping habits.
• Have the ability to lift a minimum of 50 lbs. and work in year-round weather conditions.

Beneficial Skills but not required:

• Hold a current MSHA Certificate (5000-23) in underground metal/non-metal mining. We will provide if needed.
• Shotcrete application experience
• Construction experience
