Job summary

Stellantis is seeking a Control Tower and Field Quality Engineer (CTFQ Engineer) at the Auburn Hills, MI headquarters. This role supports propulsion system development with emphasis on engine programs, coordinating project milestones, and leading issue resolution to drive quality improvements.

The position requires a mechanical engineering background with 5+ years in engine product engineering and at least 2 years in testing/validation. Strong communication and teamwork are essential.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, preferably mechanical engineering.
  • 5+ years of experience in Product Engineering or Product Development of Internal Combustion Engines.
  • 2+ years in testing/validation/test method development, including fixture design and data acquisition.
  • Strong written and verbal communication/presentation skills.
  • Team-oriented with ability to work in a unionized environment.
  • Proficiency with MS Excel and MS Project.
  • Working knowledge of Teamcenter, GD&T, and drawings interpretation.

Responsibilities

  • Facilitate cross-functional project meetings and coordinate schedules and deliverables.
  • Lead warranty issue resolution including problem solving, validation, and weekly progress.
  • Lead engine triage: warranty claims analysis, testing, and supplier reviews.
  • Establish containment actions for warranty issues.
  • Travel to plants and suppliers locally, domestically, and internationally as needed.
