Nidec Motor Corporation in Illinois is seeking an experienced warranty test engineer to analyze and test returns, determine root causes, and provide detailed corrective feedback to resolve issues. The role involves hands-on lab work with electrical and mechanical test equipment and close collaboration with Quality Engineering and Production teams.

Primary duties include documenting results, generating technical reports, and supporting process improvements across the returns workflow.

Formación

• High school degree or equivalent; technical aptitude preferred.
• 3+ years of inspection experience with a focus on electrical/mechanical faults.

Responsabilidades

• Perform root cause analysis - electrical and mechanical - on failed product returns from automotive assembly plants and dealerships.
• Operate electronic laboratory test and measurement equipment including oscilloscopes, function generators, spectrum analyzers, digital multimeters, and power supplies.
• Assist internal QA and RTA departments with root cause analysis on production line failures.
• Maintain records of inspections and test data; enter information into the returns database.
• Generate detailed technical analysis reports for submission to Quality Engineering and upper management.
• Interface with Quality Engineering and Production staff to discuss countermeasures and testing results.
• Lead Nidec Mobility measurement sampling system and coordinate cross-functional testing.
