Job summary

ManpowerGroup's Experis division seeks an Automotive Warranty & Failure Analysis Engineer to join the Auburn Hills, MI team on site. You will perform detailed warranty analyses, drive root-cause investigations, and collaborate across engineering, supplier quality, manufacturing, and service groups to implement corrective actions.

You should have a mechanical/automotive engineering background with 5–10 years of relevant experience and proficiency in CAD reading and teardown diagnostics.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, or related engineering discipline.
• 5–10 years of experience in automotive warranty analysis, product engineering, quality engineering, or failure analysis.
• Strong understanding of automotive mechanical systems and fundamental engineering concepts.
• Experience with teardown analysis and component diagnostics.
• Ability to read and interpret CAD drawings, engineering specifications, and test reports.

Responsibilities

• Perform detailed warranty part analysis and failure investigations for returned field components.
• Conduct root cause analysis using 8D, Fishbone, 5 Why, FMEA, and fault tree analysis.
• Analyze failed components related to transmission, gearbox, axles, and driveline systems.
• Support disposition activities including teardown analysis, repairability assessment, and containment actions.
• Collaborate with design engineering, supplier quality, manufacturing, and service teams to drive corrective and preventive actions.

Pay range: $30-$36 per hour on W2

Our client is seeking a Automotive Warranty & Failure Analysis Engineer to join their team. As a Warranty & Failure Analysis Engineer, you will be part of the quality assurance and engineering support teams.

What’s the Job?

• Perform detailed warranty part analysis and failure investigations for returned field components.
