Job summary

DRiV in Maryland Heights, Missouri, part of the Aftermarket Engineering, Shocks and Struts group, seeks an engineer to inspect and document warranty returns, set up test equipment, perform damper teardowns and root cause analysis, and communicate test data across business units.

The role interfaces with warranty technicians, calibration technicians, and development engineers to ensure requests meet customer requirements and align with program timelines.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical, Automotive, or Materials Engineering.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in testing or automotive activities.

Responsibilities

• Inspect and document incoming warranty returns
• Set-up test equipment and perform evaluations per internal and external specification requirements
• Perform damper teardowns and root cause failure analysis
• Collect, summarize, and communicate test data to business units, product engineering, quality, and manufacturing operations
• Assist in the maintenance and adherence of the warranty groups IATF16949 and ISO9001 certification and related procedures
• Maintain warranty return area and materials equipment and facilities
• Support and adhere to Tenneco EH&S policies and procedures
