Shealy Truck Centers in Columbia, SC is hiring a Warranty Administrator to join our team. The role supports multiple brands and manages warranty claims from filing to disposition, coordinating with Service and Parts, and maintaining claim records.

The ideal candidate has strong attention to detail, excellent communication, and a factory warranty certification or willingness to obtain one. This is a full-time, salary position with benefits and training opportunities.

Qualifications

• Experience in a truck dealer is recommended but not required.
• 5+ years of experience preferred.
• Detail oriented and precise in work.
• Excellent verbal and written communication.
• Excellent people and interpersonal skills.
• Basic computer proficiency is expected.
• Factory certification in warranty administration is preferred.

Responsibilities

• File all warranty claims for brands represented.
• Ship warranty parts back to OEM when requested.
• Maintain files of all OEM claims.
• Maintain racks with safety recalls and product improvements for all brands.
• Purge warranty parts return racks monthly and maintain warranty return area.
• Check weekly status of filed claims and disposition.
• Update aging account reports.
• Submit warranty write offs or rebills to managers.
• Resolve warranty issues with Service and Parts teams.
• Communicate warranty issues to customers and sales staff.

Warranty Administrator Responsibilities:

• File all Mack, Volvo, Prevost, Clement, Cummins, Eaton, Meritor, Parts Warranty and any other claim considered warranty
• Ship all requested parts back to OEM when required (twice monthly)
• Maintain files of all OEM claims.
• Maintain racks with all safety recalls and product improvements for all brands represented.
• Purge warranty parts return racks of parts not requested monthly and maintain warranty return area.
• Check weekly status of filed claims upon disposition and file as required.
• Update aging account reports
• Submit to Service Managers or Parts Managers any warranty write off’s or rebills to customers.
• Resolve any warranty issues with both Service and Parts
• Communicate with customers and sales personnel on warranty issues and provide requested information.
• Communicate warranty alerts to Service departments when issued
• Keep up with all required training.
• Appeal warranty claims when needed.
• Turn in cores for warranty claims.
• Work with DSMs.
• Communicate with warranty analysts as needed on warranty issues.
• Turn in scheduled clean-ups to CFO for posting after monthly warranty meeting.

Requirements

Warranty Administrator Requirements

• Experience in Truck Dealer Recommended not Required
• 5+ years of experience preferred
• Detail oriented
• Excellent verbal and written skills.

• Basic mechanical aptitude and knowledge.
• Factory certification in warranty administration.
