The City of Atlanta seeks a Warrants Technician I to prepare and process FTAs and other municipal warrants, enter data into GCIC, and validate active warrants. The role requires handling sensitive information, working in shifts, and coordinating with law enforcement agencies.
Ideal candidates will have a High School Diploma, 3 years of related experience, GCIC/NCIC certification, and the ability to manage multiple tasks in a deadline-driven environment within the Municipal Court of Atlanta.
Starting Salary: $44,353 annually
Shifts Available: 3:00 PM - 11:00 PM AND 11:00 PM - 7:00 AM
The purpose of this position is to prepare and process Failure to Appear (FTA) warrants and process other warrants issued by the municipal court; preparing records for entry of warrants into Georgia Crime Information Center (GCIC); validating and verifying active warrants; coordinating communications for the removal and cancellation of FTA warrants; running criminal and driver histories via GCIC database; and performing administrative and clerical functions related to warrants or other court operation-related activities.

High School Diploma or equivalent
Three (3) years of professional work experience, preferably in a judicial, law enforcement or jail environment or a college degree in Criminal Justice or related field; or any equivalent combination of education, training, relevant professional certification and experience deemed as providing the requisite knowledge, skills, and abilities for this job.
Fingerprinting required as a part of pre-employment onboarding. CJIS Security Policy v5-9-5.
Must be able to work in a shared space.
