Busch Vacuum Solutions is a leading manufacturer of vacuum pumps, compressors, and blowers for use in industries such as semiconductor manufacturing, food processing, metallurgy, biomedical, and material handling.

Busch Vacuum Solutions has immediate entry-level direct hire opportunity open for a Warehouseman I at our Warehouse in Virginia Beach, Virginia and our Regional Distribution Center in Chesapeake, Virginia!

The Warehouseman I position is responsible for movement of material to and from stock locations, unloading purchased material, and performing cycle counts when required.

Job Responsibilities

  • Ensure that correct quantity and correct material are issued.
  • Verify inventory counts through weekly cycle counts.
  • Check incoming material in the computer system and store in designated areas.
  • Separate non-conforming material to prevent accidental use.
  • Raise visibility of processes contributing to errors.
  • Maintain warehouse equipment (Forklifts, storage racks, PC’s, pallet jacks) per guidelines.
  • Work independently or as a team, as necessary, to fulfill department and Busch goals and objectives.
  • Assist with implementing and maintaining 5S and Lean activities to improve flow and reduce waste as directed by Management.
  • Perform processes and procedures while maintaining measurable and productive output as defined by production goals.
  • Must comply with all safety policies, practices, and procedures while reporting all unsafe activities and concerns to the supervisor, safety officer, or human resources.

Required Experience

  • 1 plus year of experience in warehousing or manufacturing environment: Required
  • Experience driving a Fork-Lift (stand-up and sit down): Required
  • Experience using Lifting Assisting Equipment (cranes and hoists): Required
  • Education: High School graduate or General Education Degree: Required
  • Computer skills: Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Email): Required
  • Valid Drivers license must be maintained throughout employment that meets Busch Insurance standards.

  • Work with a high level of initiative, be self-motivated, and possess professional maturity.
  • Be detail, goal, and safety oriented.
  • Must be organized and maintain a clean and orderly workspace.
  • Must possess a positive attitude, be dependable, and trustworthy.
  • Work independently or as a team, as necessary, to fulfill department and Busch goals and objectives.
  • Possess strong oral and written communication skills in English.
  • Most felonies are a disqualifier, misdemeanors are considered on a case-by-case basis.
  • Ability and willingness to pass DOT and MVR screenings.
  • Must be willing and able to utilize all required PPE.
  • Willingness to travel domestically for training.

Physical Requirements

  • Frequent reaching outward, lifting/carrying/pushing pulling up to 50lbs.
  • Constant standing, walking, sitting, lifting/carrying/pushing pulling up to 25lbs.
  • Occasional climbing, squatting, kneeling, reaching above the shoulder, and lifting/carrying/pushing pulling up to 50lbs.
  • All applicants must be able to hear and see audible and visual alarms and must be able to wear all required PPE, such as safety shoes, electrical hazards, safety glasses, and hearing protection.
