Job summary

Automatic Data Processing, Inc. is seeking a Warehouseman for alternating 1st and 2nd shifts in Reading, PA. You will handle receiving, packing, labeling, and shipping orders, maintain inventory, and ensure safety and cleanliness in the warehouse.

Responsibilities include operating forklifts and cranes, inspecting incoming material, and preparing material for dispatch while complying with quality standards and procedures. High school diploma or GED is preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED preferred but not required.
• Must be able to operate forklifts and cranes.
• Must be able to work mandatory overtime as needed.
• Must be able to work multiple shifts as needed.
• Read micrometers, calipers and other measurement devices.

• Prepare and complete orders for shipping according to schedule (load, pack, wrap, label, ship).
• Identify all material to be loaded with BOL.
• Receive, inspect, and process incoming material. Report any damaged material to manager before accepting.
• Identify all received material with packing slip, tag material, store in designated location.
• Cut material with metal saw per customer requirements.
• Follow quality service standards and comply with procedures, rules and regulations.
• Communicate and cooperate with supervisors and coworkers.
• Operate and maintain warehouse vehicles and equipment including but not limited to forklifts.
• Maintain safe and clean work environment by keeping shelves, pallet area, and work stations neat; Sweep, dust and mop. Organize warehouse and work area for orderliness at all times.
• Wear the proper safety equipment.
• Special assignments as assigned by supervisor.

• Some lifting, bending, pulling, and pushing required.
