Job summary

Codale Electric Supply in Las Vegas, NV is seeking a Warehouse-Yard Associate to ensure timely, accurate orders. You will load, unload, pick, pack, and ship yard materials, using Eclipse and forklift equipment, while maintaining safe, organized work areas.

Responsibilities include verifying inventory, documenting shipments, and supporting drivers. This role offers weekday mornings with a 5:00am–1:30pm schedule and opportunities for growth within a leading wholesale distributor.

Qualifications

• Experience operating forklift and other material handling equipment.
• Data-entry, reporting, and recordkeeping skills.
• Knowledge of safety practices and PPE usage.
• Strong math skills for unit conversions and measurements.
• Able to read invoices and packing slips.

Responsibilities

• Load, unload, and move Yard materials from storage to staging areas.
• Assemble materials per work orders and instructions.
• Pick customer orders and prepare shipments.
• Package merchandise for shipment and ensure proper labeling.
• Operate Eclipse to confirm picking and staging of materials.
• Load materials onto vehicles and secure cargo.
• Receive incoming shipments and document changes in inventory.
• Maintain clean work areas and operate required equipment.
• Count and inspect items against invoices and records.

Warehouse- Yard Associate

Warehouse-Yard associates ensure Codale's customers receive prompt and accurate orders. Responsibilities include shipping, receiving, storing, and delivering a wide variety of materials and supplies.

What you'll do:

• Load, unload, and move Yard materials from storage to staging sites and/or designated areas per each sales ticket.
• Use work orders and verbal instructions to assemble materials and containers which need to be picked, moved, or staged.
• Collect and pick all Yard materials included customer orders using the pick ticket.
• Package merchandise for shipment to ensure maximum efficiency and reduce damage during the shipping process.
• Properly wrap, label, and mark material for easy identification and loading.
• Use Eclipse to confirm picking and staging of materials, ensuring proper piece count for drivers and customers.
• Load materials onto vehicles and properly secure cargo.
• Unload incoming vehicles, prepare necessary receiving documents, and receive all Yard materials.
• Document shipments and changes in inventory using Eclipse.
• Clean work areas, machines, and equipment on a routine basis.
• Safely operate all the necessary equipment in the work area. Operate industrial truck or Propane sit down Forklift to assist in loading or moving materials and products.
• Count, weigh or measure incoming or outgoing items to compare identifying information and variety against bills of lading, invoices, orders, or other records; examine incoming shipments for damage or shortages and correspond with purchasing.

What you'll bring::

• Knowledge of automated or computerized system operation.
• Data-entry, reporting, and recordkeeping skills.
• Knowledge of safety practices, and wears PPE as assigned.
• Ability to operate a forklift and other material handling equipment. Must be Forklift Operation Certified after hire.

• Strong mathematical skills to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, including fractions and decimals.
• Must be able to read and interpret invoices and packing slips.
• Must be a team player and abide by Codale's strong core values and beliefs.

• Strong communication skills both orally and in writing. Able to present information to management, customers, vendors, employees, and the public.
• Problem-solving skills including collecting and presenting data, establishing facts, and drawing valid conclusions to solve practical problems where only limited information and standardization exists.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint is preferred.

Schedule: 5:00am-1:30pm (Monday-Friday)
