Job summary

Homewood & Meeks, a Division of US LBM Holdings, LLC, is hiring an entry‑level Yard/Warehouse Rep I. This role involves receiving, stocking, shipping and counting inventory, with safe forklift operation to move lumber and building materials.

It emphasizes teamwork in a safety‑driven, hands‑on work environment. You will collaborate with local and corporate teammates, maintain organized bays, and support the supervisor with inventory control.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Ability to do basic math, read orders, write instructions and complete forms.
• Ability/willingness to learn to read a tape measure.
• Ability to effectively and professionally communicate with customers, other employees and supervisors using verbal and written skills.
• Ability to deal constructively with conflict and recognize potential problems.
• Proficiency with or ability to learn current technologies (e.g. Smartphone, Inventory Control Systems, and other necessary business applications).

Responsibilities

• Operate forklift safely.
• Maintain organized and clean bays and staging areas.
• Receive, stock and ship inventory.
• Provide excellent customer service.
• Count and record material receipts and stock.
• Assist inventory control with counting and organizing warehouse materials.
• Operate facility equipment as necessary.
• Support direct supervisor and team in daily tasks.
