Job summary

Lawson Drayage is seeking a Warehouse/Yard Associate to join our Nevada Division in Sparks. The role supports daily warehouse and yard operations, including organizing materials, loading and unloading trucks, and maintaining safe, orderly work areas.

Ideal candidates are dependable, organized, safety-focused, comfortable indoors/outdoors, and able to handle the physical demands of a busy warehousing environment.

Qualifications

• Forklift experience is required.
• Ability to work safely in both warehouse and outdoor yard environments.
• Ability to stand and remain active for extended periods.
• Ability to frequently lift and move heavy materials.
• Basic computer and technical skills.
• Ability to use or learn barcode scanners, inventory software, and/or yard management systems.

Responsibilities

• Maintain organized, clean, and safe outdoor staging areas and indoor warehouse aisles.
• Load and unload incoming and outgoing trucks.
• Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, terminal tractors, and other applicable material‑handling equipment.
• Record and track incoming, outgoing, and relocated materials.
• Inspect incoming and outgoing shipments for visible damage.
• Update digital inventory logs and warehouse management systems.
• Stage materials and orders for upcoming work and shipments.
• Verify packing slips and shipment information for accuracy.
• Communicate dock assignments, material locations, and shipment information to team members and customers as needed.
• Assist with general warehouse and yard operations as needed.
• Follow company safety procedures and maintain a safe work environment.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Job Type: Full-Time

Pay: $26.00 - $28.00 per hour, depending on experience

Schedule: Monday – Friday | 6:00am – 2:30pm

Lawson Drayage is looking for a Warehouse/Yard Associate to join our Nevada Division. This position is responsible for supporting daily warehouse and yard operations, including organizing materials, loading and unloading trucks, tracking inventory, and maintaining safe and orderly work areas.

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous warehouse, yard, logistics, or material‑handling experience.
• Experience operating pallet jacks, terminal tractors, or other material‑handling equipment.
• Experience with barcode scanners, inventory software, warehouse management systems, or yard management systems.
• Experience with shipping, receiving, inventory, or material staging.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to frequently lift and move materials weighing up to 50–80 lbs.
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
• Ability to frequently bend, stoop, kneel, squat, and reach.
• Ability to operate forklifts and other material‑handling equipment.
• Ability to work indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions.
• Ability to perform an active, hands‑on role requiring frequent movement throughout the warehouse and yard.

Compensation & Benefits

Pay: $26.00 - $28.00 perhour, depending on experience
