Job summary

Penske Logistics is seeking a safety-conscious warehouse associate to join our Groveport, OH team. The role involves picking/packing parts, locating inventory, and supporting loading operations in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• No prior warehouse experience required but preferred.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Proficient reading skills and ability to follow directions required.
• Ability to work independently, customer service, multi-tasking skills, organizational skills, flexible, and time management skills required.
• Willingness to work the required schedule and at the specific location.

Responsibilities

• Pick/pack parts accurately and safely.
• Physically place inbound freight and organize inventory.
• Report discrepancies and damaged product promptly.
• Locate misclassified inventory and escalate as needed.
• Operate equipment (reach truck, pallet jack, cherry picker) after training.
• Maintain clean, safe work area and stage products for loading.
• Open/close dock doors and assist with loading/unloading.
• Follow all safety requirements and attendance policies.

Job Responsibilities:

• Picking/packing parts in a manner to ensure accuracy and prevent damage – at times process may deviate
• Physically and systematically placing inbound freight – at times process may deviate
• Report product discrepancies/variances of over/under amounts and damaged product
• Conduct searches in order to locate misclassified inventory
• Escalates issues timely and directly to supervisor
• Must be willing to be trained and certified to operate the following pieces of equipment
• Reach Truck Operator
• Pallet Jack (electrical or manual)
• Cherry Picker /Stock Chaser
• Accurately match numbers & letters
• Follow all safety requirements
• Stage and sort products for loading
• Opens and closes dock doors
• Maintain a clean and safe work area
• Sorts and places parts in racks or other designated areas
• Stacks cardboard boxes and pallets
• Move materials within the warehouse
• Scanning & counting parts
• Completes all other duties as assigned by Supervisor

Qualifications:

• Regular, predictable, full attendance is an essential function of the job

• Willingness to work the required schedule, work at the specific location required
• Complete a Penske employment application, submit to a background investigation (to include past employment, education, and criminal history) and drug screening required.
