Job summary

Penske Logistics is seeking warehouse associates to join a safety-conscious team in Groveport, OH. The role offers a Monday–Friday or Sunday–Thursday schedule with competitive pay and a comprehensive benefits package.

You must be able to operate forklifts and follow safety procedures; no prior warehouse experience is required but preferred. Excellent attendance and reliability are essential.

Qualifications

• No prior warehouse experience required but preferred.

• Proficient reading skills and ability to follow directions required.
• Ability to work independently, customer service, multi-tasking skills, organizational skills, flexible, and time management skills required.

Responsibilities

• Accurately stage and sort products for loading.
• Loads and unloads trailers.
• Stacks cardboard boxes and pallets.
• Move materials within the warehouse.
• Operate forklifts, pallet jacks and a variety of warehouse mechanical equipment (where applicable].
• Read work orders or receive oral instructions to determine work assignments and material and equipment needs.
• Record numbers of units handled and moved, using daily production sheets or work tickets.
• Complete daily logs.
• Quality control and safety compliance.

Compensation

• M-F Schedule - $21.12 per hour
• Sun-Thurs Schedule- $21.12 per hour plus $2.00 shift differential totaling $23.12 per hour

Job Responsibilities

• Accurately stage and sort products for loading

• Complies with all safety requirements
• Package or kit finished product for shipping (shrink wrapping, boxing, labeling)
• Electronically scan products using a warehouse management system
• Quality control
• Complete daily logs
• Read work orders or receive oral instructions to determine work assignments and material and equipment needs
• Record numbers of units handled and moved, using daily production sheets or work tickets
• Pack containers and re-pack damaged containers
• Reads production schedule, customer order, work order, shipping order, or requisition to determine items to be moved, gathered, or distributed
• Weighs or counts items for distribution within plant to ensure conformance to company standards
• Uses computer to enter records
• Operate forklifts, pallet jacks and a variety of warehouse mechanical equipment (where applicable

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• Proficient reading skills and ability to follow directions required
• Ability to work independently, customer service, dealing with others, multi-tasking skills, organizational skills, flexible, excellent with numbers and time management skills required
• Flexible to work overtime preferred
• Ability to work in non-climate-controlled conditions required
• Regular, predictable, full attendance is an essential function of the job

• Willingness to work the required schedule, work at the specific location required
• Complete a Penske employment application, submit to a background investigation (to include past employment, education, and criminal history) and drug screening required.
