Job summary

Penske Logistics is seeking a Loader for the Grand Prairie, TX location. This role on the 2nd shift involves loading outbound trailers, operating pallet jacks and forklifts, and maintaining safe, accurate shipments.

The position offers $20.67 per hour with a $1.00 shift differential, plus benefits including PTO, medical, dental, vision, life insurance, 401K with company match, and an associate referral program. Safety training is required.

Qualifications

• No prior warehouse experience required.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Reading skills and ability to follow directions required.
• Ability to work overtime and maintain dependable attendance.

Responsibilities

• Load outbound trailers per load plans with safety and weight distribution.
• Verify quantities, labels, and destinations to ensure shipment accuracy.
• Operate pallet jacks, forklifts, or other warehouse equipment safely and efficiently.
• Inspect trailers for cleanliness, damage, and proper condition prior to loading.
• Secure loads using straps, load bars, and other safety devices as needed.
• Maintain clear communication with shipping office and dock leads regarding load status.
• Follow all company safety procedures and participate in safety training.
• Keep dock area clean, organized, and free of debris or safety hazards.
• Assist with unloading inbound freight or staging pallets.
• Open and close dock doors and move products within the warehouse.

Job Responsibilities:

• Load outbound trailers in accordance with load plans, ensuring safety and weight distribution requirements are met.
• Verify product quantities, labels, and destinations to ensure accuracy of shipments.
• Operate pallet jacks, forklifts, or other warehouse equipment safely and efficiently.
• Inspect trailers for cleanliness, damage, and proper condition prior to loading.

Qualifications:

• No prior warehouse experience required
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• Proficient reading skills and ability to follow directions required
• Ability to work independently, customer service, dealing with others, multi-tasking skills, organizational skills, flexible, excellent with numbers and time management skills required
• Flexible to work overtime preferred
• Regular, predictable, full attendance is an essential function of the job

• Willingness to work the required schedule, work at the specific location required
