Job summary

Penske Logistics in Grand Prairie, TX is seeking an Inventory Clerk for the 2nd shift (Mon-Fri 3:00PM–11:30PM; overtime and weekends as needed). This role focuses on cycle counts, audits, and reconciling inventory to keep operations running smoothly.

The ideal candidate has 2 years of general office experience and 1 year of customer service, with advanced MS Office skills and AS400 experience preferred. Penske offers a strong benefits package, 401(k) with company match, and growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• 2 years of general office experience required.
• 1 year of customer service experience required.
• No prior general warehouse experience required, but strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Complete cycle counts, random audits and reconciliations.
• Resolve inventory problems in a timely manner.
• Research and reconcile product discrepancies/variances of over/under amounts and damaged product.
• Conduct searches in order to locate misclassified inventory.
• Escalates issues timely and directly to supervisor.
• Completes all other duties as assigned by Supervisor.
• Have the ability to operate the following pieces of equipment: Reach Truck, Double Pallet Jack, Cherry Picker.
• Regularly lift and/or move up to 50lbs and occasionally up to 100lbs.

Position:

Inventory Clerk 2nd Shift

Scheduled: Monday-Friday 3:00PM - 11:30PM (overtime and weekends as needed)

Wage: $23.15 p/h + $1.00 per hour shift differential

Job Responsibilities:

• Responsible for completing cycle counts, random audits and reconciliations

Qualifications:

• 2 years of general office experience required
• 1 year of customer service experience required
• No prior general warehouse experience required, but strongly preferred.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• Proficient reading skills and ability to follow directions required
• Ability to work independently, customer service, dealing with others, multi-tasking skills, organizational skills, flexible, excellent with numbers and time management skills required
• Flexible to work overtime preferred
• Advanced computer skills including Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint required
• AS400 experience preferred
• Regular, predictable, full attendance is an essential function of the job
• Willingness to travel as necessary, work the required schedule, work at the specific location required, complete Penske employment application, submit to a background investigation (to include past employment, education, and criminal history) and drug screening.
