Job Description

The Warehouse Worker's main responsibilities include receiving and processing incoming products, preparing orders for transport, and performing inventory and quality control duties. This person ensures the warehouse is clean and organized, maintained in accordance with the facility protocols and safety standards.

Job Responsibilities

1. Receiving and inspecting products, accurately labeling items, and reporting discrepancies in deliveries and invoices.
2. Organizing and storing all incoming products, applying FIFO (first in, first out) inventory controls for perishable products.
3. Operating manual pallet jacks, electric pallet jacks, and/or forklifts after training.
4. Picking inventory to assemble orders for requisitions or established par levels.
5. Following all Standard Operating Procedures to meet accuracy and production standards.
6. Loading, unloading, and transporting products within the warehouse and to other locations, using carts, PIVs, or motor vehicles as needed.
7. Conducting routine physical inventory counts based on location schedules.
8. Completing administrative duties such as inventory records, temperature logs, and equipment inspections, either manually or via digital systems.
9. Cleaning work areas including restrooms, break areas, loading docks, and freight areas.
10. Implementing safety policies, OSHA requirements, SDS standards, and emergency procedures, using required safety and PPE equipment.
11. Ensuring the security of assets and interacting professionally with clients, vendors, and colleagues.

Qualifications

1. Must be over 18 years of age.
2. High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
3. 2 years of warehouse experience preferred.
4. Strong communication skills.
5. Basic reading, writing, arithmetic, and computer skills.
6. Manual dexterity for operating machinery.
7. Able to lift up to 50 lbs frequently, and objects weighing up to 35 lbs.
8. Some locations may require a valid driver’s license and a background check.

This role may involve physical demands such as lifting, bending, pushing, pulling, and extended walking or standing. Uniforms and PPE may be required.
