Santa Barbara Unified School District is seeking a Warehouse Worker for the District Warehouse. The role is full-time, hourly, and involves handling deliveries, inventory, and light custodial duties to support educational and nutritional objectives.
Hourly rate ranges from $24.28 to $26.52 depending on experience, with duties including loading/unloading, safety inspections, and record-keeping. Valid California driver’s license required; high school diploma and 1 year warehousing experience
Inside work with no exposure to weather conditions. Exposure to weather conditions when driving a vehicle and making deliveries. Exposure to temperatures of less than 15 degrees Fahrenheit when working in freezers. Working at heights or on ladders. Working on slick or slippery surfaces. Driving a vehicle to conduct work; driving on school grounds when students are present. Hearing and speaking to exchange information in person or on the telephone; seeing to read a variety of documents; dexterity of hands and fingers to operate warehouse and office equipment; sitting for extended periods of time; standing; bending at the waist, stooping and kneeling; lifting or reaching to retrieve or store materials weighing 45 pounds or more.
Graduation from high school and one (1) year of experience in warehousing, distribution, or materials management. Experience in a K12 public school environment preferred.
Valid California Driver’s License.
