Job summary

Penske Logistics is seeking a Forklift Operator to join our Salt Lake City team. You will operate sit-down counterbalance forklifts, pallet jacks, and other warehouse equipment to load, unload, and move items safely and efficiently. We offer a competitive wage of $21.30 per hour, comprehensive benefits including medical, dental, vision, life, and 401K, plus PTO and a boot allowance after 90 days.

U.S. work authorization and reliable attendance required.

Qualifications

• General forklift, clamp truck, cherry picker or reach truck experience preferred.
• Prior warehouse experience preferred.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Proficient reading skills and ability to follow directions.

Penske Logistics is looking for Forklift Operators to become part of our excellent team in Salt Lake City! The position operates forklifts to load, unload, move, relocate, and stack items within the warehouse environment.

This role requires a high level of attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, and a commitment to workplace safety.

Work Schedule:

• Monday - Friday 5:00 AM to 1:30 PM

OT and Saturdays determined by business needs

Job Responsibilities:

• Operate sit down counterbalance forklifts, pallet jacks, and other warehouse equipment as needed


• Read work orders or receive instructions to determine work assignments and equipment needs


• Loads and unloads trailers; moves materials within the warehouse


• Accurately match numbers & letters


• Electronically scan products using a warehouse management system


• Accurately stage and sort products for loading


• Opens and closes dock doors


• Maintain a clean and safe work area


• Sorts and places parts in racks or other designated areas


• Stacks pallets, bins, totes, etc.


• Complies with all safety requirements


• Shrink wrapping, boxing, labeling as required

This position is designated as safety sensitive by the company, and the ability to work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner is required. Associates must have the ability to accept responsibility for their own safety, as well as the safety of others.

Qualifications:

• General Forklift, Clamp Truck, Cherry Picker, or Reach Truck experience highly preferred


• Prior warehouse experience preferred.


• High school diploma or equivalent preferred


• Proficient reading skills and ability to follow directions required


• Ability to work independently, customer service, dealing with others, multi-tasking skills, organizational skills, flexible, excellent with numbers and time management skills required


• Flexible to work overtime preferred


• Ability to work in non-climate-controlled conditions required


• Regular, predictable, full attendance is an essential function of the job
