Job description

Cornell Pump Company is looking for a hardworking Warehouse Associate on our second shift to join our team! In companies that manufacture and ship products, a Warehouse Associate plays an important role in the business's success. A Warehouse Associate maintains organization in the company's warehouse, working closely with the whole team. As Warehouse Associates are tasked with opening containers and stocking products, attention to detail and organizational skills are essential to properly execute the position. The hourly pay range is $21.00 to $25.00 (DOE). This is a second-shift position. Working hours are Monday-Friday, 2 : 30 pm - 11 : 00 pm, with shift differential and overtime available.   • Picks parts for the Assembly Department to be assembled into Pumps.
  • Assembles customer parts orders from stock and places orders on pallets or shelves or conveys orders to the packing station or shipping department.
  • Conveys materials and items from receiving or production areas to storage or other designated areas.
  • Moves products to / from specified areas in the warehouse.
  • Records amounts of materials or items received or distributed. Mark materials with identifying information.
  • Weighs or counts items for distribution within the plant to ensure conformance to company standards.
  • Assists with updating and providing accurate records of inventory. Qualifications for Warehouse Associate
  • Ability to lift 50 pounds, as many warehouse items are heavy
  • Ability to maintain a high level of physicality for prolonged periods and work primarily standing
  • Experience working in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
  • Interpersonal skills are essential, as working as a team is vital to maintaining an organized warehouse
  • Experience with software such as Microsoft Excel and ERP systems preferred
  • Experience using a forklift
  • Typing and record-keeping skills are necessary to provide accurate information for managers and supervisors regarding warehouse inventory
  • Ability to problem-solve quickly and prioritize daily tasks according to their importance
