Job summary

Unitek Supply in Hawaii seeks a Driver / Warehouse Associate to deliver materials safely and support daily warehouse operations. You will perform loading, order fulfillment, and customer interactions with an emphasis on safety and efficiency.

You will operate delivery vehicles, forklifts, and warehouse equipment, maintain inventory, and document shipments. Must be 18+, HS diploma, driving/warehouse experience; teamwork, reliability, and good communication valued.

Responsibilities

  • Safely operate company vehicles to deliver and pick up materials in line with DOT regulations.
  • Perform routine vehicle inspections and report safety concerns promptly.
  • Load, unload, and secure materials to ensure damage-free delivery.
  • Verify orders for accuracy and obtain delivery signatures.
  • Interact professionally with customers during deliveries and represent the company.
  • Assist with receiving, stocking, and inventory control in the warehouse.
  • Pick, stage, and prepare orders for delivery or pickup.
  • Operate forklifts and warehouse equipment safely and efficiently.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of warehouse, yard, and delivery vehicles.
  • Accurately calculate material measurements for order fulfillment.
  • Process receiving, inventory, and shipping paperwork accurately.
  • Follow safety procedures and use PPE as required.
  • Support inventory accuracy and provide excellent customer service.

Job description

The Driver / Warehouse Associate is responsible for the safe and timely delivery of company products while supporting daily warehouse operations. This role ensures accurate order fulfillment, proper handling of materials, and excellent customer service while maintaining safety, efficiency, and compliance with company policies. The position requires flexibility to perform both driving and warehouse duties as business needs require.

Duties and Responsibilities:
Driver Responsibilities:
  • Safely operate company vehicles to deliver and pick up materials in accordance with DOT regulations and company policies.
  • Perform routine vehicle inspections and report maintenance or safety concerns promptly.
  • Load, unload, secure, and transport materials to ensure damage-free delivery.
  • Verify orders for accuracy before delivery and obtain required delivery documentation and customer signatures.
  • Interact professionally with customers during deliveries and represent the company in a positive manner.
Warehouse:
  • Assist with receiving, inspecting, and stocking incoming shipments.
  • Pick, stage, and prepare orders for delivery or customer pickup.
  • Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other warehouse equipment in a safe and responsible manner.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the warehouse, yard, and delivery vehicles.
  • Accurately calculate material measurements, including square footage and linear footage, for order fulfillment and shipment preparation.
  • Receive deliveries, unload containers, inspect shipments, and restock inventory.
  • Process paperwork related to receiving, inventory, and shipping, ensuring accuracy and organization.
  • Follow all safety procedures, including proper lifting techniques and use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
  • Support inventory accuracy through proper handling, labeling, and storage of materials.
  • Provide excellent customer service to internal and external customers.
  • Participate in educational and professional development opportunities to update job knowledge.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned to support warehouse and operational needs.

  • Knowledge of warehouse operations, delivery routes, and material handling practices, or the ability to learn quickly.
  • Ability to operate delivery vehicles, forklifts and warehouse equipment safely and efficiently.

  • Ability to maintain cleanliness, organization, and order in the warehouse.
  • Ability to pass required screening for base access (DBIDS, TWIC, etc.) as needed.
Physical Demands
  • Prolonged standing and walking; frequent lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling (up to 100 lbs.).
  • Use of hands/fingers for tools and equipment; climbing ladders, stairs, scaffolding; working in tight spaces or at heights.
  • Works indoors and outdoors in warehouse conditions, including heat, low lighting, and other hazards.
  • Proper use of PPE required; may work independently or as part of a team.
Education, Training, and Experience:
  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • High School diploma or equivalent required.
  • Prior experience in driving, warehouse operations, including receiving, stocking, and shipping.
  • Experience operating forklifts and warehouse equipment preferred.
  • Participation in educational or professional development opportunities is a plus.
