Job summary

Boys Town in Omaha, NE, is seeking a Warehouse Associate responsible for driving a Boys Town vehicle to pick up and deliver materials, loading and stocking merchandise with a forklift, and providing customer service to walk-ins and deliveries.

The role requires 6 months experience in warehouse/delivery, a valid driver's license with good driving record, and the ability to lift up to 75 pounds. Cross-training with Mail Processing may occur; frequent inventory counts are part of the job.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 6 months experience including warehouse and/or delivery required.
  • Pass an annual Motor Vehicle Registration (MVR) check required.
  • Possess a valid driver's license with a good driving record required.
  • High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.

  • Works in collaboration with clinical staff to ensure supplies needed are on hand.
  • Conducts par and cycle counts, as prescribed; participates in annual inventory physical count.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES:
  • Drives Boys Town vehicle to pick up and deliver material, large furniture, appliances, and equipment on and off campus.
  • Uses a forklift to load and unload incoming orders, stocks incoming merchandise, and pulls and packs stock orders.
  • Provides customer service for walk-ins, deliveries and product pick up.
  • Completes minor assembly and disassembly of household and office items and rearranges offices, classrooms, and homes.
  • Completes order input as needed.
  • Will cross train with and provide occasional back-up support to Mail Processing Worker.
  • Works in collaboration with clinical staff to ensure supplies needed are on hand.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:
  • Ability to perform warehouse work including shipping and receiving.
  • Computer skills in Microsoft Office.
  • Ability to communicate in an articulate manner.
  • Ability to work independently, meet deadlines, and multi-task while maintaining quality standards.
  • Ability to drive a 18-foot straight truck or similar vehicle.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS, EQUIPMENT USAGE, WORK ENVIRONMENT:
  • Position requires moderate to heavy physical activity. Frequent handling of average to heavy weight objects up to 75 pounds and occasionally heavier. Some standing, walking, and sitting at a keyboard, workstation, or desk.Worker is subject to inside environmental conditions with protection from weather conditions but not necessarily from temperature changes as well as outside conditions, noise, and dust. Subject to hazards including proximity to moving mechanical parts.
