Job summary

  • Ability to drive an 18-foot straight truck or similar vehicle.
  • Ability to perform warehouse work including shipping and receiving.
  • Ability to communicate in an articulate manner.

Responsibilities

  • Performs warehouse and delivery functions.
  • Drives vehicle to pick up and deliver material on and off campus.
  • Uses forklift to load/unload, stocks incoming merchandise, and pulls/packs orders.
  • Provides customer service for walk-ins, deliveries, and product pickup.
  • Completes minor assembly/disassembly of items and rearranges spaces.
  • Completes order input as needed and cross-trains for Mail Processing.
  • Collaborates with clinical staff to ensure supplies are on hand.
  • Participates in inventory counts and physical count.
  • Maintains safety and quality standards in daily tasks.

Job description

Works in the warehouse, completes deliveries, and provides customer service.MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES:Performs warehouse and delivery functions.Drives Boys Town vehicle to pick up and deliver material, large furniture, appliances, and equipment on and off campus.Uses a forklift to load and unload incoming orders, stocks incoming merchandise, and pulls and packs stock orders.Provides customer service for walk-ins, deliveries and product pick up.Completes minor assembly and disassembly of household and office items and rearranges offices, classrooms, and homes.Completes order input as needed.Will cross train with and provide occasional back-up support to Mail Processing Worker.Works in collaboration with clinical staff to ensure supplies needed are on hand.Conducts par and cycle counts, as prescribed; participates in annual inventory physical count.KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:Ability to perform warehouse work including shipping and receiving.Computer skills in Microsoft Office.Ability to communicate in an articulate manner.Ability to work independently, meet deadlines, and multi-task while maintaining quality standards.Ability to drive a 18-foot straight truck or similar vehicle.REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:Minimum of 6 months experience including warehouse and/or delivery required.Possess a valid driver's license with a good driving record required.Pass an annual Motor Vehicle Registration (MVR) check required.PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.Other Duties: This job description incorporates the essential functions and duties required for this position. Worker is subject to inside environmental conditions with protection from weather conditions but not necessarily from temperature changes as well as outside conditions, noise, and dust.
