Duration : 3 months with long-term opportunity

Job Summary :

The Packer supports all production operations at the plant, ensuring compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices and the Food Safety Program. This role reports directly to the Plant Manager and may assist in various departments as needed.

Key Responsibilities :

• Follow all safety policies (OSHA and company) and maintain a safe work environment.
• Operate production and heavy equipment, including forklifts and water trucks.
• Conduct equipment inspections and report defects or incidents.
• Remove finished products from the line, shrink wrap pallets, apply labels and lot codes, and store in designated areas.
• Supply production lines with pallets, bags, and wrap materials.
• Inspect and manage packaging materials before and after production runs.
• Wrap and relocate pallets to correct storage using a forklift.
• Maintain clean work areas and refill raw materials into hoppers.
• Hand-stack 40–50 lb. bags as needed.
• Load / unload trucks, confirm legal truck weights, and assist with shipping / receiving in SAP.
• Participate in cycle counts for raw and finished goods.
• Communicate with other shifts about production issues or updates.
• Ensure adherence to all internal control procedures and food safety standards.

Qualifications :

• Minimum 1 year of experience in a manufacturing / plant environment.
• Familiarity with continuous process operations and industrial equipment.
• Forklift and heavy equipment operation (certification preferred).
• SAP and Microsoft Office experience preferred.
• Strong communication, teamwork, and customer service skills.
• Flexible, detail-oriented, and safety-focused.
