Job summary

Safety-Kleen in La Porte, TX is seeking a Warehouse Worker (Material Handler) to join a safety-conscious team. You will perform all assigned warehouse duties in a safe and responsible manner.

Responsibilities include unloading and loading route trucks, stocking inventory, picking, packaging and shipping outbound orders, and operating heavy material handling equipment such as forklift and pallet jack. We offer competitive wages of $19 per hour based on experience, comprehensive health benefits

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED is required.
  • Ability to work independently and manage time.
  • Ability to perform physical functions per job requirements.
  • Reliable transportation for local travel between facilities.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Problem solving skills.
  • Excel and Outlook experience required.
  • Forklift experience preferred.
  • Experience in a warehouse environment preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Unloads and reloads route trucks.
  • Reloads route trucks with supplies and equipment for next day’s runs.
  • Ensures all waste and containers are in acceptable shipping condition.
  • Conducts inventory count and reconciliation; verifies, receives, stocks, and organizes product.
  • Picks, packages, and ships outbound orders.
  • Operates forklift and pallet jack; loads and unloads trucks.
  • Coordinates transportation for outbound shipments.
  • Local deliveries when needed.
  • Maintains branch housekeeping and safety compliance.
  • Follows DOT and safety guidelines.

Safety-Kleen in La Porte, TX is seeking a Warehouse Worker (known internally as a Material Handler) to join their safety conscious team! You will be responsible for completing all assigned warehouse duties in a safe and responsible manner.

Responsibilities
  • Ensures Health and Safety is the number one priority by complying with all safe work practices, policies, and acting in a safe manner always.
  • Unload and reload route truck;
  • Reload route trucks with supplies and equipment for next day’s runs
  • Ensures all waste and containers are in acceptable shipping condition and organized for transport to recycle or distribution centers
  • Conduct inventory count and reconciliationVerify, receive, stock, and organize product
  • Pick, package, and ship outbound orders
  • Operate heavy material handling equipment such as forklift and pallet jack
  • Load and unload trucks with various equipment and by hand
  • Coordinate transportation for outbound shipments
  • Local deliveries when needed
  • Move trailers or trucks within the yard
  • Housekeeping in the branch (painting, picking up trash, sweeping, cleaning, straightening)
  • Assist other business units
  • Safely operate vehicles in accordance with U.S. DOT, local, state (provincial) and federal requirements
  • Safely observe all corporate operating guidelines and procedures
  • Observe all company environmental health and safety operating guidelines
  • Perform other duties as assigned
  • Follow all local, state (provincial) and federal compliance regulations and rules
Qualifications
