Job Summary

Performs a variety of duties related to receiving, storing, issuing, and shipping within a warehouse environment.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Receives and unloads incoming merchandise. Inspects, counts, marks, unpacks, segregates, or tags items. Verifies items against documentation, reports discrepancies, and may sign for received merchandise.
• Stocks warehouse according to specified locations, checks labels for accuracy, and reports issues to supervisor.
• Pulls merchandise for shipment, transfers, or customer orders, verifying information against documents.
• Assists with charge backs, performs inventory counts, and helps prepare inventory reports.
• Maintains cleanliness and order in stock areas.
• Operates material handling equipment (up to 10,000 pounds) for moving goods.
• Works under supervision, following established policies and procedures, with work reviewed for efficiency and accuracy.

Physical Effort

Includes walking, stooping, bending, standing for long periods, lifting boxes up to 40 lbs (sometimes over 50 lbs with assistance), using carts, climbing ladders, and using sharp tools.

Working Conditions

Indoor and outdoor environments, potentially cold, damp, or hot. Close quarters, with risks of minor injuries from cuts, bruises, or falling stock.

Training Requirements

Hazardous Material (HazMat) training within 90 days of hire, per DOT regulations.

Eligibility

Must be a U.S. citizen or have resided in the U.S. for three years.

Experience

Minimum 18 months of warehousing experience or similar duties involving receiving, storing, issuing, and shipping.

Education Substitution

One year of high school equals 3 months of experience, up to a high school diploma or GED for 12 months of experience.
