Job Purpose
This role involves warehouse operations, including receipt, maintenance, distribution, record keeping, and inventory control of furniture, supplies, and materials.
Responsibilities
- Maintain a professional, respectful, and welcoming demeanor at all times.
- Provide quality services and support to schools and stakeholders.
- Comply with all relevant codes, laws, policies, and procedures.
- Deliver or pick up items such as equipment, furniture, supplies, and materials to/from various locations.
- Maintain inventory, organize stock, and assist in inventory counts.
- Pull supply orders, load vehicles, and coordinate deliveries.
- Operate machinery like forklifts, pallet jacks, and trucks.
- Coordinate furniture and equipment moves, removals, and storage.
- Receive incoming packages, verify deliveries, and record shipments.
- Maintain records of outgoing freight and process shipments.
- Operate various tools and equipment related to warehouse activities.
- Communicate effectively with supervisors and staff.
- Follow safety procedures and work collaboratively with staff.
- Attend work punctually and maintain confidentiality.
- Perform manual tasks such as cleaning, assembling furniture, and lifting heavy materials.
- Complete forms, reports, and other documentation.
- Stay informed about traffic laws and safety regulations.
- Use computers for data entry and communication.
- Perform clerical tasks such as answering calls and filing.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Two years of warehouse or inventory experience preferred.
- Experience working in a team preferred.
- Valid driver’s license required.
Skills
- Excellent communication skills.
- Ability to operate delivery vehicles and machinery.
- Ability to work in adverse environmental conditions.
Compensation
Salary depends on education and experience. Grade D.
