Job summary

Crescent Electric Supply Company is seeking a Value-Added Services Lead to oversee the daily operations of the Value-Added Services team, including wire and pipe activities, inventory control, and safety compliance. You will guide staff, assign duties, and ensure training and process adherence.

You will lead cross-functional collaboration, address deficiencies, and uphold professional standards while aligning with company values and culture.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) or higher.
• Valid driver’s license is required.
• Ability to obtain forklift certification and operate stand-up reach forklift, power pallet jacks, cherry picker, and sit-down forklift.
• 1+ years of warehouse experience.
• 3+ years in wire cutting, CNC, machine operator, or production capacity.
• Proficient in Eclipse: History Ledger, Change Log, Product Activity Log, Location Maintenance.
• Knowledge of warehouse terminology and practices.

Responsibilities

• Assign tasks in wire and pipe department as needed.
• Daily meetings with Value-Added Services associates to review work, provide support, and issue instructions.
• Maintain a safe, hazard-free work environment.
• Identify deficiencies and coordinate with management for resolution.
• Collaborate cross-functionally to correct issues and address errors.
• Ensure training is provided and completed for Value-Added Services staff.
• Perform Level 1–3 Value-Added Services tasks as required.
• Report to supervisor/manager if operations deviate from policy or law with investigations.
• Uphold company values and professional conduct.

As the Value-Added Services Lead at Crescent Electric, you will oversee the daily operations of the Value-Added Services team; including, but not limited to, wire cutting, pipe cutting, inventory control, safety and housekeeping, and the direction of Value-Added Services staff activities.

Primary Duties

• Assign work duties in the wire and pipe department, as needed.
• Meet with Value-Added Services Associates daily to answer questions, provide support, and deliver work instructions.
• Ensure a safe and hazard-free work environment.
• Identify deficiencies and/or areas of improvement and communicate to management team for resolution.
• Partner cross-functionally to rectify issues and address errors.
• Ensure appropriate training is provided to and completed by value-added services team members.
• Perform Value-Added Services Associate Level 1, 2, and 3 tasks, as needed.
• Communicate with supervisor and manager as needed when operation is not in accordance with organization’s policies, procedures, and applicable laws for further investigation.
• Uphold the values of the company and its culture, consistently demonstrating professionalism, integrity, and the highest standards of ethical behavior and professional conduct.

Physical Demands

Often standing, walking, bending, reaching, and stooping. Occasional sitting, talking/hearing. The use of hands/fingers are often needed.

• Ability to and comfort with working at heights of up to 28 ft. using powered equipment.
• Continuous lifting and carrying of 1-20 lbs.
• Frequent lifting and carrying of 21-50 lbs.
• Occasional lifting and carrying of 51-100 lbs. with the assistance of a buddy-lift or a mechanical device.
  
  

Vision Requirements For Driving Equipment And Company Vehicles Include

• Close vision (clear vision at 20 inches or less).
• Distance vision (clear vision at 20 feet or more).
• Peripheral vision (ability to observe an area that can be seen up and down or to the left and right while eyes are fixed on a given point).
• Depth perception (three-dimensional vision, ability to judge distances and spatial relationships).
