Job summary

Crescent Electric Supply Company is seeking a Value-Added Services Associate (Warehouse) to perform cutting, handling, and packing of wire and pipe. You will load, unload, and stage materials, operate various forklifts, and support cycle counts and PO processing.

The role emphasizes accuracy, safety, and teamwork. The position requires 1+ years of warehouse experience, valid driver’s license, and forklift certification.

Responsibilities

• Perform value-added services activities; including wire-cutting, pipe cutting, fiber optic cable cutting, threading, and strut cutting.
• Receive, pick, relocate, and put away wire and pipe.
• Load pipe on trucks for delivery and manifest pipe trucks.
• Assist with cycle count and complete RCL POs as needed.
• Utilize MHE including pallet movers, forklifts, high lift reach trucks, and order picker.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse.

Schedule

Monday - Friday 8:00 - 4:30pm

Primary Duties

Perform value-added services activities; including, but not limited to, wire-cutting, pipe cutting, fiber optic cable cutting, threading, and strut cutting. Ensure transaction accuracy. Receive, pick, relocate, and put away wire and pipe. Load pipe on trucks for delivery. Manifest pipe trucks. Perform Value-Added Services Associate Level 1 tasks, as needed. Assist with cycle count, and complete RCL PO's, as needed. Utilize various pieces of material handling equipment (MHE) including pallet movers, sit down and stand up forklifts, high lift reach trucks, and order picker. Proactively problem solve issues. Maintain the warehouse so it is clean, organized, and safe for all employees.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED).
• Valid driver’s license.
• Ability to obtain and maintain forklift certification.
• 1+ years of experience using a stand-up reach forklift, power pallet jacks, cherry picker, and sit-down forklift.
• 1+ years of warehouse experience.
• 1+ years of experience working in a wire cutting, CNC, machine operator, and/or production capacity, preferred.
• Demonstrated knowledge of warehouse terminology and practices.

Physical Demands

Often standing, walking, bending, reaching, and stooping. Occasional sitting, talking/hearing. The use of hands/fingers are often needed. Ability to and comfort with working at heights of up to 28 ft. using powered equipment. Continuous lifting and carrying of 1-20 lbs. Frequent lifting and carrying of 21-50 lbs. Occasional lifting and carrying of 51-100 lbs. with the assistance of a buddy-lift or a mechanical device. Vision requirements for driving equipment and company vehicles include: Close vision (clear vision at 20 inches or less). Distance vision (clear vision at 20 feet or more). Peripheral vision (ability to observe an area that can be seen up and down or to the left and right while eyes are fixed on a given point). Depth perception (three-dimensional vision, ability to judge distances and spatial relationships).
