Job summary

Scott Electric Company in Springfield, OH is seeking a dependable Warehouse Wire Associate to measure, cut, label, and prepare electrical wire and cable per customer specs. The role supports on-time order fulfillment and inventory accuracy in a fast-paced wholesale warehouse.

You will operate wire cutting machinery, verify product type and length, record usage in the inventory system, and maintain a clean, safe workspace. OT may be required; 8:30–5:00, Monday through Friday.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Basic math skills and measurement accuracy.
• Ability to read order tickets and product specifications.
• Detail-oriented with strong accuracy.
• Ability to operate wire cutting machinery (training provided).
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for long periods.
• Teamwork and clear communication.

Responsibilities

• Measure, cut, and spool electrical wire and cable according to customer order specifications.
• Operate wire cutting machines and related warehouse equipment safely and efficiently.
• Verify product type, gauge, length, and labeling accuracy before order completion.
• Accurately record wire cuts and material usage in the inventory management system.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the wire cutting area.
• Inspect wire and cable for defects or damage prior to cutting and shipment.
• Follow all company safety policies, OSHA regulations, and warehouse procedures.
• Assist with cycle counts and inventory control as needed.
• Collaborate with warehouse and sales teams to ensure customer satisfaction and on-time delivery.

Scott Electric Company has a current opening at our Springfield, OH branch for a dependable and detail-oriented Warehouse Wire Associate to join our electrical distribution team (M-F - 8:30 AM - 5:00 PM +OT). Part-Time consideration will be given.

Job Summary:

Requirements:

• Basic math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, measurements)
• Ability to read and interpret order tickets and product specifications
• Attention to detail and strong accuracy skills
• Ability to operate wire cutting machinery (training provided if necessary)
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods
• Strong teamwork and communication skills

Preferred:

• Previous warehouse experience
• Experience in electrical distribution or familiarity with wire and cable products

Must submit a background check and drug testing
