Job summary

Four State Trucks is seeking a WH Utility to learn all outbound warehouse positions and assist where needed, especially in shipping and receiving.

Responsibilities include moving materials with forklifts, filling in for other roles, reviewing orders, and ensuring cargo is secured for shipment.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Strong communication skills and ability to listen and follow orders.
• Must be adaptable and customer-service oriented in a fast-paced environment.
• Multi-tasking, prioritization, time management, and self-starter attitude expected.

Responsibilities

• Move materials, equipment and supplies using pickers/forklift trucks.
• Fill in for other warehouse positions as needed (pickers, packers, loaders, shipping/receiving).
• Review work orders and schedules to determine required operations.
• Monitor cargo area, secure loads for shipment, and label materials for shipments.
• Repackage products/orders as needed and restock packaging supplies.
• Ensure material moving equipment is in good working condition and report issues.
• Maintain cleanliness of work areas and facility.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Summary:

The WH Utility will work in a warehouse setting, learning all outbound positions to fill in &assist with anywhere needed in the warehouse, especially in the areas of shipping & receiving.

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

Move materials, equipment & supplies as needed, using pickers/forklift trucks.

Fills in for other warehouse positions on an as needed basis-including pickers, packers, loaders, shipping & receiving, etc.

Reviews work orders, schedules & other paperwork to determine operations needed to perform warehouse work.

Monitors cargo area conditions, securing cargo loads for shipment.

Labels materials, supplies, and parts to identify for shipments.

Repackages products/orders as needed.

Restocks & orders packaging supplies when needed.

Ascertains that all material moving equipment is in good working condition, reporting problems as they arise.

Cleans work areas, facility, products, and packaging as necessary.

Performs other duties as assigned.

Job Requirements:

High School diploma, or GED equivalent needed.

Good communication skills needed, especially listening & following orders.

Must maintain a positive attitude & have a customerservice focus in a fast-paced environment.

Multi-tasking, task prioritization, time management, and self-starter skills needed.

Should possess flexibility & be able to embrace change when job changes quickly.

Forklift truck experience a plus, will be a requirement of position.

Shift:

Mon-Fri, Full Time, Day Shift, Some Saturday rotation may be necessary

Working Conditions:

Job will include periods of standing, walking, reaching, stooping/kneeling, and bending. Stair climbing and walking on uneven surfaces will also be present. Subject to heat/cold conditions in warehouse conditions. Moderate use of hands and arms with repetitive motion will be needed. May be required to lift, carry, push & pull up to 75 lbs. with assistance, 50 lbs. without assistance.
