Job summary

Timken Distribution Center in Duncan, OK is hiring a 1st Shift Utility Support Employee. The role runs 7am-3pm Monday through Friday with overtime as scheduled. You will support packaging lines, handle totes and cases, and ensure safe, accurate, and efficient operations on the plant floor.

Minimum requirements include being 18+ and having a high school diploma or GED. A strong attitude toward safety and teamwork will help you succeed in this entry-level manufacturing position with comprehensive

Responsibilities

• Operate hand-held scanner to identify and transfer totes/cases.

• Gather orders and supplies for packaging lines; assist with pallet jacks as needed.
• Identify missing cases and totes; move materials to packaging areas.
• Complete forms and keep area clean and orderly; work independently and proactively.

Position Summary

Timken Distribution Center is currently seeking a 1st Shift Utility Support Employee for its facility located in Duncan, SC. Work schedule 7am-3pm Monday through Friday, plus overtime as scheduled. A successful warehouse employee values safety, accuracy, productivity, and customer service.

Essential Job Duties

• Use hand-held scanner to identify, transfer, and arrange totes/cases according to work copies to be packaged.
• Arrange work for packaging lines according to daily priorities set by lead.
• Arrange and gather orders and/or supplies for packaging lines, assistance of pallet jack/hand jack may be needed.
• Identify missing cases and/or totes.
• Move materials using appropriate equipment to packaging areas for processing.
• Perform required duties such as filling out standard forms and checklists as well as taking out trash, and keeping equipment and work area clean and orderly.
• Must be able to work independently and proactively. Must demonstrate drive and self-reliance.

Minimum Requirements

• 18 years of age.
• High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required.

Language Skills

Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, work instructions and procedure manuals. Ability to complete production forms. Ability to communicate effectively with co-workers and plant leadership.

Physical Demands

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to stand, walk, bend, stoop, crouch and use hands/arms. The employee is regularly required to talk, hear at conversational level. The employee must regularly lift/move up to 30 pounds, frequently lift/move up to 40 pounds, and occasionally lift/move up to 55 pounds. Moving/lifting greater than 55 pounds requires assistance from another employee or a lifting device/hoist. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.

Required Personal Protective Equipment

Employee is required to wear steel-toed shoes at all times while on the plant floor
