Job summary

Simmons Foods is seeking candidates for a Utility Crew role at our facility. You will support multiple positions, perform warehouse tasks, and assist with pallet sorting, restacking, and sanitation to meet customer specs.

You will participate in Team initiatives and follow established operating systems, while contributing improvements to the overall process. Applicants should be able to work in a busy, noisy environment, lift up to 75 pounds, read/write/speak English, and hold a high school

Qualifications

• Minimum Education: High School Diploma or Equivalent.
• Perform basic math.
• Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand English.

Responsibilities

• Provide support to the facility in various positions.
• Performs various jobs within the warehouse or on the grounds as assigned.
• Responsibilities around the facility can include pallet sorting, restacking, identify product that does not meet customer specifications and rework and sanitation.
• Participates as a member of the Team and supports team concepts, programs and policies to achieve synergy within the organization.
• Familiar with Simmons operating systems and understands responsibility to maintain familiarity with systems and communicate concerns and improvement ideas.
• Performs other duties as necessary in support of business objectives.
• Physical Activities: work in a busy, noisy, dusty environment with temperature extremes, stand all shift, lift up to 75 pounds.
• Travel: N/A
• Must obtain and maintain company issued forklift certification
• Industry Experience: Previous forklift experience preferred.
