Job summary

Simmons Foods is seeking a versatile Utility role at our Emporia, KS facility to support daily operations in a busy environment. You will perform varied tasks in the warehouse and grounds, handle pallet sorting and restacking, and assist in identifying and reworking nonconforming products.

Team collaboration and adherence to BEST practices are essential. Applicants should be comfortable working in a loud, physical setting, comply with PPE requirements, and have basic math and English

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English.
• Basic math skills and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Provide support to the facility in various positions.
• Performs various jobs within the warehouse or on the grounds as assigned.
• Pallet sorting, restacking, and identify products that do not meet customer specifications and rework and sanitation.
• Work as a team member, contribute to team concepts and policies, and attend team meetings.
• Familiarity with safety and PPE practices; maintain awareness of quality and security standards.
