Job summary

Bimbo Bakeries USA is hiring a Warehouse Utility in Glendale Heights to support delivery and unloading of product to customer stockrooms. The role requires operating the route truck safely, maintaining DOT logs, and ensuring accurate loading and distribution.

You will maintain strong customer relations, communicate effectively with team members, and handle duties like cycle counts and equipment troubleshooting. This position offers benefits under the collective bargaining agreement.

Qualifications

• 21 years of age or older.
• Class C License required.
• Must be able to acquire and maintain a DOT medical card.
• Successfully able to obtain Chauffeur License (If job location is in IN, MI, TN).
• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• Maintain records required by the FMCSR.
• Must be able to read and speak English sufficiently to converse with the public and understand highway signs.
• Ability to lift, push/pull up to 50 lbs and stand for prolonged periods.
• Comfortable in a warm working environment.
• Ability to communicate effectively in English.

Responsibilities

• Maintain good customer relations and effective communication with team members.
• Deliver and unload product to customers’ stockrooms.
• Pick up return product and empty trays; transport back to Sales Center.
• Ensure product distribution meets customer satisfaction and relay concerns to BBU manager.
• Represent BBU as a leader in the baking business.
• Safely drive the route truck and complete DOT daily logs.
• Load/unload trailers and verify route loads and yard records.
• Count and check products for accuracy and quality; report variances.
• Troubleshoot packing equipment as needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Warehouse Utility

• $22.16 per hour starting pay!
• Shift: Sunday, Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday, starting between 9:00 am and 11:00 am and ending between 7:00 pm and 9:00 pm.
• Days Off: Tuesday and Saturday.

What you can expect:

• Maintain good customer relations and effective communication with team members.
• Responsible for delivery and unloading of product to customers’ stockrooms.
• Pick up return product and empty trays; transport and unload back at Sales Center.
• Ensure that product distribution is accomplished to customer satisfaction and communicate any customer concerns/issues to BBU manager.
• Represent BBU as a leader in the baking business.
• Safely drive the company route truck and complete DOT (US Department of Transportation) daily logs.
• Responsible for accurately loading and unloading trailers, verifying route load(s), trailer reports, and maintaining the shipping yard.
• Count and check products for accuracy and quality, maintain accurate records, report overages and shortages, & participate in "Cycle Counts".
• Troubleshoot issues with packing equipment, label machines, tapers, palletizers, etc.
• Other duties as assigned.

What we need from you:

• 21 years of age or older.
• Class C License required.
• Must be able to acquire and maintain a DOT medical card.
• Successfully able to obtain Chauffer License (If job location is in IN, MI, TN).
• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• Maintain records required by the company and the FMCSR.
• Consistent with United States Department of Transportation regulations, the ability to read and speak the English language sufficiently to converse with the general public, to understand highway traffic signs and signals in the English language, to respond to official inquiries and to make entries on reports and records.
• Ability to lift, push/pull up to 50lbs, stack/unstack or carry, stand and/or stoop for prolonged periods of time.
• Comfortable in a warm working environment.
• Ability to communicate effectively in English.
