Helix Electric Inc in Cedar Rapids is seeking a dynamic Flatbed Warehouse Truck Driver/Material Handler to support a production-driven team. You will safely haul materials and equipment to jobsites, delivering with urgency while maintaining a clean driving record and complying with safety policies.

This role requires 8–10 hour shifts, overtime and potential night shifts, and the physical ability to lift heavy objects.

Qualifications

• Must have a valid driver's license and a clean driving record.
• Must be able to lift heavy objects (over 50 pounds) and perform physical tasks.
• Ability to work 8–10 hour shifts, with potential overtime and night shifts.

Responsibilities

• Safely hauling materials and equipment to jobsites
• Utilizing safe driving habits and defensive driving practices
• Maintaining alertness to potential jobsite hazards
• Delivering materials and equipment with a sense of urgency
• Observing, inspecting, and reporting equipment or mechanical issues
• Maintaining a clean driving record is essential
• Complying with all safety policies and PPE requirements

Helix Electric has a need for a dynamic Flatbed Warehouse Truck Driver/Material handler. The successful candidate will be supporting a production driven team.

DUTIES & SCOPE

• Safe Driving Habits
• Responsible for safely hauling materials & equipment to jobsites
• Utilizes defensive driving practices.
• Maintains an alert awareness of potential jobsite hazards.
• Efficient Delivery Practices
• Drivers maintain a sense of urgency throughout the day to deliver materials & equipment safely and efficiently.
• Observe, Inspect, and Report equipment or mechanical failures immediately.
• Clean driving record required

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

• Job requires working in all elements, depending on job location, time of year, heat, cold, rain, snow.
• Wear personal protective equipment (hard hat, safety glasses, and gloves always), respirator when required.
• Able to work 8-10 hours per day, 40 hours per week, overtime, and night shifts as required.
• Must be able to perform the essential functions of the job, including crawling, standing, stooping, bending, crouching, kneeling, sitting, reaching, able to routinely lift heavy objects in excess of 50 pounds and pushing and pulling of objects is required.
• Repetitive use of arms, hands, and fingers.
• Physical work is a primary part (more than 70%) of the job.
