Job summary

Performance Food Group's Performance Foodservice division is hiring a warehouse selector to read computer-generated labels, move items from storage to pallets, and ensure safe, efficient orders for customers.

The role requires 3–5 years in warehousing with forklift experience; bilingual Spanish and English preferred. Schedule Sunday through Thursday, 5 PM until completion, at two locations: 7420 Ranco Rd and 10399 Washington Highway, with competitive benefits.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 3–5 years of warehousing experience with PIT trucks.
• Fluent in English and Spanish preferred.

Responsibilities

• Read computer labels to identify items and locations.
• Convey items from storage to pallets for orders.
• Place materials on pallets ensuring delivery safety.
• Sort and stack perishable goods as needed.
• Attach identifying stickers to products.
• Operate hand pallet jack for movement to loading dock.
• Shrink wrap pallets correctly and safely.
• Complete safety training and HACCP requirements.
• Train team members in powered equipment use.
• Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.

Job Description:

• Pay - $28.00/hour

Position Summary:

From warehouse storage areas, trains selectors to fill customer orders

Position Responsibilities:

• Read computer generated stickers to determine items to be selected and where to locate the items.


• Conveys items from warehouse slot to pallet to fill customer orders.


• Places materials or items on pallets to insure best order for ease of delivery and safety of product.


• Sorts and stacks perishable goods in refrigerated, freezer or dry pallets, depending on type of product being selected.


• Marks materials with identifying information, by attaching sticker to product.


• Operates hand pallet jack to transport palletized items from warehouse storage area to loading dock.


• Shrinks wrap pallets correctly


• Completes initial training in accident reporting, safety and HACCP.


• Trains warehouse and drivers in the safe operation of powered industrial trucks (forklifts / pallet jacks)


• Incumbents will follow any other instructions, and perform any other related duties, as may be required by their supervisor.


• Performs other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma/GED or Equivalent Experience


• 3 - 5 Years related experience in warehousing and powered industrial trucks.

Preferred qualifications:

• OSHA certified trainer for powered industrial trucks


• 1- 3 years of order selection experience


• Intermediate computer skills


• 1-3 years of forklift experience


• Fluent in Spanish and English
