Job summary

S&S Activewear in Fresno, CA is seeking a dedicated Trainer to develop and support our warehouse team. You’ll teach SOPs, safety practices, and equipment operation to new hires and current staff, ensuring consistent performance.

This full-time, Monday–Friday role offers $17.50 per hour, comprehensive benefits after 0–90 days, and opportunities for growth as we expand. You’ll work in a fast-paced environment and help sustain our safety-driven culture.

Qualifications

• Two years of training experience in a team environment is preferred.
• Strong interpersonal and coaching skills to develop employees.
• Ability to read and speak English fluently.
• Basic computer skills for training documentation and records.
• Flexible schedule and willingness to work overtime when required.
• Bilingual abilities are a plus but not required.

Responsibilities

• Train and develop warehouse staff by teaching and enforcing SOPs.
• Provide stock chaser/equipment training and safety certification.
• Give company tours to new employees.
• Evaluate/audit trainees and communicate issues promptly.
• Identify training needs and coordinate with the training coordinator.
• Troubleshoot issues with tablets and training tools.
• Document training by completing all required paperwork.
• Perform other duties as assigned and maintain professional conduct.
• Safely operate all warehouse equipment and perform cleaning as needed.

About The Role

The Trainer will train and develop new and existing warehouse employees on standard operating procedures and safety processes and procedures. The Trainer and all employees at S&S Activewear and all employees must adhere to the guidelines presented in the S&S Activewear Employee Handbook.

Schedule & Compensation

Monday - Friday, Full-time, non-exempt

$17.50 hourly

What You Will Do

• Training and development of warehouse staff by teaching and enforcing SOP's
• Responsible for stock chaser/ Equipment training and Certification safety and operation.
• Provide the company tour to new employees
• Responsible for Evaluate / Audit employees in training and communicate issues ASAP.
• Identify training needs and communicate them to the training coordinator
• Troubleshoot issues with tablets.
• Document the training by completing all required paperwork
• Perform other duties as assigned
• Act professionally and remain focused while working
• Safely operate all warehouse equipment
• Perform cleaning activities as required
• Follow and promote all safety rules, maintain a safe warehouse.
• Maintain a positive attitude
• Additional responsibilities as assigned by management

Protective Equipment Required

Must be able to wear proper safety equipment (safety toe shoes, bump caps and safety vest). PPE is company-provided with a $100 stipend on safety-toe shoes after 90 days of employment.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

In performing this job, the employee must stand and walk for an 8+ hour shift. Additionally, the position requires frequent grasping, lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, and handling of items with hands and arms, up to 50 lbs. Moderate hand-eye coordination, near vision, far vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, adjusting focus and hearing.

WORKING ENVIRONMENT

• The job will be performed entirely in the warehouse where conditions can range from warm to cool.
• The job will be performed around warehouse machines and equipment with a moderate level of noise.
• Employee must be able to work in a high-volume, high-demand environment while meeting strenuous customer deadlines.
• Employee must be able to change priorities or job duties as needed and interact with employees at all levels.
